AirSeal® and Robotic Surgery

Stable pneumoperitoneum and constant smoke evacuation makes the AirSeal® System ideal for da Vinci ® robotic surgery!

AirSeal® System benefits consistently cited by robotic surgeons:

  • Stable pneumoperitoneum. No loss of insufflation!
  • Improved visibility! No smoke, no plume!
  • Increased efficiencies!
  • Less scope fogging and cleaning!
  • Whole specimen removal!
  • Less patient CO2 consumption!

No smoke and stable pneumoperitoneum results in superior visibility and optimum access. The 12mm AirSeal® Bladeless, Optical Tip Access Port accommodates a standard 10mm laparoscope within the optical tip obturator channel to provide visualization during abdominal entry while conducting robotic surgery. AirSeal®is also available in a Blunt Tip configuration with spring anchor.

 Why choose the AirSeal® System?

  • Besides the frustration of time loss, losing pneumoperitoneum can be a significant concern with sharp instrumentation inside abdomen during robotic surgery. The AirSeal® System provides stable pneumoperitoneum to offer unobstructed access throughout the entire robotic surgery procedure.
  • The advantage of robotic surgery is superior imaging, which magnifies intra-abdominal smoke limitations. The AirSeal®System provides automatic smoke evacuation to offer unobstructed access throughout the entire robotic surgery procedure.
  • The absence of seals, vales or gaskets within AirSeal® ports allows unimpeded specimen removal as well as easier delivery of mesh, suture, etc
  • Because the AirSeal® Access Ports have no internal seals or gaskets associated with conventional trocars, removing potentially cancerous nodes in one piece during robotic surgery is... priceless!
